REYNOLDS ROOFING & ROUGHCASTING LTD

Chimney Repairs

Repointing, flaunching, flashing, and rebuilds — keeping your chimney sound and your roof watertight.

Chimneys take a battering. They’re the most exposed part of the roof and one of the most common sources of leaks and damp. Crumbling mortar, cracked flaunching, and failed flashing all let water track down into the property.

We carry out all types of chimney repair, from a quick repoint to a full rebuild, and we’ll always give you an honest view of what needs doing now versus what can wait.

A sound chimney protects the structure and the roof around it

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Q. My chimney isn't used any more — can you cap it off?

Yes. We can fit a cap (vented to prevent condensation) or, if you prefer, remove the stack entirely and make the roof good. We’ll advise on the best option.

It depends on how far the deterioration has gone. If the brickwork is still sound, repointing may be enough. If the structure is loose or leaning, a rebuild is safer. We’ll tell you honestly.
